La Molina, a pilot territory towards a sustainable future
Climate change and the evolution of society pose new challenges for mountain areas. The European project PITON (PYRENEES INNOVATION HOLISTIC TRANSITION OF THE MOUNTAIN) was born with the aim of supporting the transition of these territories towards a more sustainable and resilient model.
La Molina, one of the project's pilot territories
La Molina, as a ski and mountain resort of FGC Turisme, actively participates in the PITON project as a pilot territory and will serve as a testing ground for the deployment of innovative tools and models that respond to current challenges.
What is the PITON project?
The PITON project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Spain-France-Andorra Program (POCTEFA 2021-2027). It brings together 10 partners from Catalonia, France and Andorra, with the aim of creating a new approach for the transition of mountain territories.
